Cruciate Ligaments Rupture and Knee Ligament Damage :
The diagnosis of cruciate ligament rupture is based on the history of a sudden lameness, swelling on the joint especially on the inner aspect of the knee, and manipulation of the joint under anaesthesia to detect the looseness or tear in the ligament.
